First of all, a great big huge thank you to those of you who knew the American Idol results and didn't put them in your LJ or put them behind cut tags or did anything that basically let me look at the results show just now. Ergo, we have my not so considered thoughts on the
Ding dong, the Hobbit is gone!!!!!
Apologies to those of you who might have enjoyed the semi-coherent ramblings of that overgrown gormless Cabbage Patch Kid, but I repeat... Ding dong, the Hobbit is gone. And I am so happy right now!
Major kudos to the producers who completely faked me out the way they did it... I was so sure that George was going to be bottom three (with Jasmine and Diana) and then when they said that George and Jasmine were both safe, we did think Jennifer was going to go... then when they said she was safe, meaning PJL was bottom three, helsinkisister and I began with the praying!
Diana being safe first was a big shock, but I can only think that the little teenage girls weren't too gone on You Must Remember This for poor old John Stevens, but next week... Barry Manilow? I want to hear him sing I Write the Songs. Or Could It Be Magic. Possibly Mandy. After the Crocodile Rock fiasco, he needs to stay the hell away from Copacabana -- if he picks that one, then he will go, and he should go because with all the choices ahead of him, he'd be insane! Fantasia might pick that one... I think LaToya would rock on One Voice ... but then, this is getting away from the real meat and potatoes of this post which, lest we forget, is as follows...
Ding dong, the Hobbit is gone!!!!!
It is, of course, a measure of my JPL hatred that when he went into the audience at the end, my first thought was not how nice it was that he was trying to do something for the fans. Oh no. I was thinking, "Now the camera has to follow him, and he gets it all to himself instead of sharing the spotlight with the other Idols who were approaching him." And when he was in the audience, did anyone else notice that he didn't dance with hardly any of the fans, barely even looked at them? Barrel roll on to the stage at the end...same deal, made sure that he was up there on his own. And it's not just me who noticed that while Diana and John were holding hands waiting for the results, he was off on his own, not even looking at them... helsinkisister bears me out on this one. It was like when Josh went out last year and brought the kid up on the stage? Everyone else in my house was melting, I'm like "Dan Jansen did it better, don't you even try!"
Irrational fan hatred is a wonderful thing.

azarsuerte the
Angel or Spike?
Why can't I pick Wesley? If you put a gun to my head and forced me to choose, it would be Spike.
Buffy or Willow?
Willow. By quite a long way.
Fred or Cordelia?
Oooh tough one... Fred.
Xander or Oz?
Oz, Oz, Oz, and did I mention Oz?
Lilah or Lindsey?
Lindsey! Oh man, loved him!
Giles or Joyce?
Giles. By a long way.
Wesley or Gunn?
I don't even have to think about it... love Gunn, but I adore Wesley. Wesley.
Anya or Tara?
Anya
Connor or Dawn?
Dawn. Hated Connor with the fire of a thousand suns.
Kate or Jenny?
Kate.
Darla or Drusilla?
Drusilla! She's so nutty I just love her!
--
Who is the best couple? Buffy w/Angel, Spike, Riley, Parker, or Scott?
There's something about her and Spike...
Angel w/Buffy, Fred, Cordelia, Eve, Darla or Drusilla?
Cordy. The hundredth episode... oh me.
Fred w/Wesley, Gunn, Angel, Spike, or Knox?
I was Fred/Wesley from the start. Then when they put her with Gunn I adored them. And then by season five, I didn't care if they put Fred and Wes together or not...
I was like, "Either do it or stop annoying me!" But when they put them together they were adorable. I'm bitter. So this is my long winded way of saying Fred and Wes.
Xander w/Willow, Anya, Cordelia or Inca Mummy Girl?
Anya.
Willow w/Xander, Oz, Tara or Kennedy?
Oz, Oz, Oz and did I mention, Oz?

Some questions about Buffy.
What is your favourite overall episode?
I have to choose one? Once More With Feeling is incredible. And I'm stopping there before I make a big long list.
What episode did you cry the most in?
Wild at Heart. Buckets and buckets and buckets. I did also bawl when looking at The Body, I'd lost my godmother a few months before, so that hit very
close to home. I might have cried at The Gift, I know I did at the second part of Bargaining and since I was looking at it at a one-day, I had to move
quickly once the credits rolled, out of the room and into the bathroom to pull myself together!
What episode do you wish you could erase?
If it weren't for the fact that Giles sings in it, Where the Wild Things Are would be way the hell up there. But other than that I can't think of one...oh
wait, the Halloween one from season four... Fear Itself
Who is your favourite character?
Giles. I cried when he left.
Who is your least favourite character?
Buffy.
--
Some questions about Angel.
What is your favourite overall episode?
You're Welcome is the one that springs immediately to mind. Also Waiting in the Wings
Who is your least favourite character?
Connor.
What episode were you most surprised by?
There are a few. Calvary. Did the spoiler free thing, and only for we were at a one day and Joanne muttered something not-so-sotto-voce during the ep, I would
have been completely floored. As it was, I was damn speechless. Ditto You're Welcome where I was also spoiler free, and glad of it, because I would not have
wanted to know that ending... I wouldn't have watched the episode. Got suspicious at the start when Cordy pulled the curtain around the bed, but dismissed it because
I was so thrilled to have her back. Then at the end when she said she was leaving and the phone rang, I knew. And then there's the one, episode eight this season I
think, where Lindsey came back at the end? Again, at a one day, Joanne had been dropping hints that I was going to love it, and making me guess who came back, but I
hadn't thought of him... and then there he was, a shirtless vision, and when the credits rolled, I paused for about two seconds to get my breath back, and then
eeeeee-ed out loud right in the middle of the room. Then did it again; I heard the tech crew going, "Yeah, Jeanine's happy with that." (They know me so well).
Illyria popping up at the end of A Hole in the World was pretty surprising too.
If Angel and Spike had a rematch, would Spike still win?
No. Angel's got his groove back now.
