I don't look at the X Factor, but I saw a bit. Ben? Singing I Made It Through the Rain? I got down on my knees and praised the Lord. Which, considering I spent the whole previous performance going "This is not happening, this is not happening, Ray is not singing Mandy, this is not happening" was quite a change of pace! Seriously, Ben picked one of my favourite Manilow songs (yes, I am aware that there are many things wrong with that statement, and I am fine with that), the only thing that could have made me happier was if he'd chosen my other favourite and obscure Manilow track, Somewhere in the Night... or Read 'Em and Weep... and I'm stopping now.

The second songs... lordy me, the MacDonalds were fun, and I had party flashbacks to the Shangalang song... but Ben picked a harder song and sang it, for the most part, through his mouth rather than his nose, so Gawd help me, I'd just edge him... though if the little "what's that coming over the hill is it a" Munster went I'd be delirious...

And Ben singing Someone to Love a capella? Oh yes. That is all.



I am very scared about the dancing. Thoughts to follow.
