tears don't hurt like the ache does...

I'm just going to leave this here...
Anne and Gilbert moments
I was ten years old when I read the Anne books, my teacher gave me Anne of the Island first, then I read Anne's House of Dreams, then I went and read them all in the right order. (Himself gave me a beautiful box set of all the books last Christmas, he knows me so well.) At the same time, BBC showed the two Sullivan movies and I was glued to them - easily some of the best casting for any adaptation ever.
Anne and Gilbert were the first couple I shipped, before I knew shipping was a thing. They are a bulletproof OTP to me, so much so that when I have not, nor will I ever, watch the fourth Anne movie, a decision I made six words into the blurb about it. ("After the death of her husband..." Nope, nope, no.)
Megan Follows was Anne.
And Jonathan Crombie was Gil.
My heart, and the ten year old me's heart, is broken.
RIP Jonathan Crombie
