Wonderful weekend thus far - once again, for the second time in a month, I lost my voice. Not completely, but enough that I really should be resting it. No pain which is good because there's no pain, but bad because I still feel like I can talk then I open my mouth and realise, not so much. Today was better than yesterday, but tomorrow should be interesting.
Television thoughts, behind cuts tags for those of you who don't care or are spoiler free. I'm thinking the OC here!
Let's get the rant out of the way first -Peyton. I find myself asking, does the world need another drama with a whiny chick who has a dead parent? And I find myself answering, no. We had Joey Potter. We have Lana Lang. We do not need Peyton.
Nathan - just when I think I'm starting to like him, just when I'm thinking he's redeemable, he does that thing with the hug with Haley.
Dan - ass. The thing with Nathan at the game was unconscionable, and I hope that when he gets home, Deb makes his ass sleep on the couch.
Lucas - Shut.Up.Lucas. Haley is your best friend. She explained her reasons for tutoring Nathan. You said you could accept them. You see a hug and you treat her like that? You are an ass, and what's more, you have more of Dan's genes in you than you might like to admit.
Keith. Marry me. If Karen doesn't want you, just come over to my house! The scenes with him and Lucas were great, the hug at the end had me sniffling. Where he smacked down Dan in the garage (do you ever think we're just as ashamed of you?) was priceless and long overdue, and when he stuck up for Nathan in the locker room, I actually cheered. Which cost me what was left of my voice. But when Karen told the story about how he was there when Lucas was born? Oh, be still my heart... why the hell aren't those two together?
I was spoiler free for the Luke's dad being gay thing till Channel 4 blew it in their ad this week. Great acting on all parts, with Luke being really good...the first time he's had anything to do other than be an asshole and he carried it off really well.
Snarky!Ryan! Love him with a sense of humour! The Summer Flu? Some Anna-biotics? And carrying Luke in, saying "I didn't do it this time"? I love him!
But not as much as Seth, whose apologies to Anna and Summer were/was priceless...and who can blame them for both wanting him?
Jimmy telling Sandy about kissing Kirsten - was screaming, with what's left of my voice, shut up! Poor Sandy.
Julie bonding with Kirsten was quite funny, as was Kirsten's face when she realised what she's done...
Shut.Up.Marissa. That is all.
Alias, 3.02 - Weiss helping Sydney move in? Being her neighbour and telling her not all her friends are gone? Oh me oh my, ship sailing and halfway to New Zealand by now. And I think there will be fic from it, which sucks, since I live in fear of being Jossed on a Sunday night... meeting Lauren at the end was an ouch moment if ever I saw one... Vaughn speaking French? All scruffy in blue? Proof that there is a god and she is female... I have more thoughts but will post them at a later date.
Word to the wise - I'll probably be around less this week, since starting tomorrow, the World Figure Skating Championships will be taking place in Dortmund, Germany. I have British Eurosport. I have videotapes galore. I have cleared my schedule completely, for it is Worlds! In Germany! Which means a decent timeslot! Where I don't lose sleep! So looking forward to it!

misssimm is by way of saying that your fic will more than likely be deferred until after next Saturday, unless I get it typed in between groups... however since I do internet commentary and average anywhere between 5 and 10 thousand words per night, usually the last thing I feel like doing after that is writing! But we'll see!
