So Himself is on a nightshift, Princess is asleep and on scanning the Sky Box, I see that TG4 (Irish language station) have the One Tree Hill series finale on at ten past nine.

It's just finished and thank f*** that Himself was at work because I'm a snivelling, sobbing mess on the sofa and he would be appalled.

Seriously, I think it's flown right up to the top of my favourite ever series finales in the history of ever.

Spoilers, just in case )

There are sparkly hearts in my eyes and I am in love with the world right now. Perfection.

Wonderful weekend thus far - once again, for the second time in a month, I lost my voice. Not completely, but enough that I really should be resting it. No pain which is good because there's no pain, but bad because I still feel like I can talk then I open my mouth and realise, not so much. Today was better than yesterday, but tomorrow should be interesting.

Television thoughts, behind cuts tags for those of you who don't care or are spoiler free. I'm thinking the OC here!

One Tree Hill - the one with the father/son basketball game, or the one where I beg Keith to marry me. Pick which one you like better )

The OC - the redemption of Luke, or reasons to love Seth Cohen #546 )

Alias 3.02 or the one where I set sail on the SS Sweiss )

Word to the wise - I'll probably be around less this week, since starting tomorrow, the World Figure Skating Championships will be taking place in Dortmund, Germany. I have British Eurosport. I have videotapes galore. I have cleared my schedule completely, for it is Worlds! In Germany! Which means a decent timeslot! Where I don't lose sleep! So looking forward to it!

This, [livejournal.com profile] misssimm is by way of saying that your fic will more than likely be deferred until after next Saturday, unless I get it typed in between groups... however since I do internet commentary and average anywhere between 5 and 10 thousand words per night, usually the last thing I feel like doing after that is writing! But we'll see!

Absolute nightmare of a day today. Filming of the film is still ongoing, my class are doing no work and getting restless. And this afternoon it took 9 takes to get two sentences of Irish filmed. Ended up getting one kid to hold the script just out of shot at an angle so that it looked like one of the kids was talking to the other while actually reading her lines. Of course, the second she got them, the other kid got a fit of the giggles... cue me tearing out my hair.

Tomorrow, we get to tramp up to Bremore Castle with my lot to do a bit on a school tour. I anticipate much cursing being done by me.

And I was on yard. I swear to God, if I was ever going to break lent...

On the bright side, my [livejournal.com profile] 1000whispers challenge fic is being written. It's sucking in a major way, but that's beside the point.

And I have other fic. For [livejournal.com profile] writers_choice and their the chance to right a past wrong challenge, it's a Warrick/Sara CSI piece called Revisiting the Past ) and I cannot be the only one who had Quantum Leap flashbacks reading that!

The second is for [livejournal.com profile] firstlines1000 and it's, of all things, One Tree Hill fic. Pre-show, Keith/Karen (so my OTP in that show) with mentions of Dan/Karen. All His )

And did I mention that my Michael Cerveris cd came on Monday? Because it did. And it rocks.

So I'm in town shopping today and I come across the George Strait Live at the Astrodome CD. On import. Cost me an obscene amount of money and I know I could get it for half price on line, but it was in my hand and it's George and there's no way I can fight that kind of destiny. Nor can I fight the urge to order myself the DVD version (see last week's post about the multi-regionness of the family DVD player)

And speaking of destiny... shows.

The OC. I am in love with Seth. That is all. I am also loving this show. Seriously. No plot bunnies as of yet [livejournal.com profile] christinekh calm yourself. It can, however, only be a matter of time.

One Tree Hill. Shipper heaven. Haley/Lucas, Karen/Keith, this is me in happy land. Karen is my hero, and proof that the character of Mandy Hampton was just a blip on my Moira Kelly loving self's radar screen. Dan and Nathan both need a serious smacking, which I would be only too happy to give them.

And now, Navy NCIS. Oh dear. See, I didn't look at the first one last night, but saw the second (FX are doing double bills, one and two last night, two and three next week, and so on) but I did look at the second one and quite liked it. Looked at the both of them with HelsinkiSister after The OC and One Tree Hill tonight (I've just looked at way too much tv!) and oh me, oh my, adoration has set in. I mean, Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly, what's not to love, but I liked the show too... and ship? Ship? Has anyone seen the sparkage between Kate and Gibbs? (Mark Harmon and Sasha Alexander) I mean, he called her Katie! And then there's Abby and Tony, and lest you think I'm going all conventional on you, there is also a nice little sideline between Kate and Tony going with me...I see danger all around me, danger!

Sidebar - someone on my friends' list posted NCIS fic during the week, I'm sure they did. If it's you, do you want to out yourself in the comments section so that I have a jump start on the no doubt slippery slope that I'm finding myself hurtling towards? Ta muchly.

And now, fic from me. Greg/Ellie,CSI/West Wing crossover for those of you who care, just in case you thought I'd abandoned it! The Pieces of My Life: Spring Break 1995 )
