Goodnight, One Tree Hill
So Himself is on a nightshift, Princess is asleep and on scanning the Sky Box, I see that TG4 (Irish language station) have the One Tree Hill series finale on at ten past nine.
It's just finished and thank f*** that Himself was at work because I'm a snivelling, sobbing mess on the sofa and he would be appalled.
Seriously, I think it's flown right up to the top of my favourite ever series finales in the history of ever.
It's Nathan and Haley and them being together and dancing in the rain one more time.
It's Dan's redemption with the Edwards-Scott scholarship and Mouth doing the right thing and him and Millie being happy.
It's Skills and Bevin, and Quinn and Clay getting married and adopting their son.
It's Julian buying Brooke her fucking childhood home because she told him she loved it and it always deserved a family, and it's Brooke being so happy and getting everything she wants.
It's seeing the red bedroom one more time, and the history being acknowledged and CON-TIN-FUCKING-NUITY-HALLELULIAH!
It's Haley giving Jamie the predictions box and looking out over the town from the roof, telling him, "There's only One Tree Hill, Jamie Scott, and it's your home." CON-TIN-FUCKING-NUITY!
It's Jamie breaking the scoring record and all the voiceovers, and BJL and Sophia talking to the crowd at Tric and, in BGL's case in particular, talking as HER as well as Haley and thanking the Tric audience/the audience at home.
It's GAVIN FUCKING DEGRAW SINGING I DON'T WANT TO BE AND THE WHOLE CAST SINGING ALONG AND I WOULD HAVE BEEN HAPPY IF THEY'D LEFT IT THERE BUT THEN THEY DID THE FLASHFORWARD AND THEY WERE ALL SO HAPPY AND I HAVE ALL THE TEARS AND ALL THE FEELINGS AND IT WAS MARVELOUS AND MAGNIFICENT AND I JUST HAVE NO WORDS.
There are sparkly hearts in my eyes and I am in love with the world right now. Perfection.
