helsinkibabyI had a fairly crappy day, all told. Killed the kids over the copies, did yard duty, which was horrific. Still feel like I'm getting nowhere with them, but hey. I have until the end of February.
Then I got home, and found that one of the new satellite channels that came online on Monday is starting to show Navy NCIS and has a double bill on tonight, the pilot and second ep. Since the pilot clashed with Carnivale, I taped it, but now I have the second ep on here in the background. Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly in the same show... oh, this is the way to end a crappy day, let me tell you!!
And I also have fic, TWW100 inspired, with a brief spoiler for The Benign Prerogative but only if you know nothing about Marlee Matalin, ie, there's nothing about the episode in it! It's Joey/Kenny,
In an effort to stop the world from spinning, Kenny closes his eyes tight and takes a deep breath. When he opens them, Joey’s expressive face is concerned, and not a little scared, and, with shaking hands, he signs, “Say that again.”
The second time might be harder to understand than the first, because her hands are shaking and he’s watching through tear-blurred eyes, but the message is the same, two simple words.
“I’m pregnant.”
Then, “Are you happy?”
He can’t sign, reaches for her instead, grabbing both her hands in his, squeezing hard, and she smiles in perfect understanding.
