Have now checked and Husband's state of the art blu ray player does indeed play data discs. Including all my Fame discs that
cheapevilgirl burned for me back before Nimoy came along. *squee* This also promises great things for the other files that have mysteriously found their way onto my computer of their own accord; to wit, seasons two and three of
Picket Fences, seasons five and six of
LA Law (Grace/Victor FTW!!!! The reunion movie never happened!) and season two of
Boomtown (which has some of the best Joel/Teresa, not to mention Shirtless!Donnie).
I want to marry this player and call it George.
Summer course continues in the same vein; spent the first hour and a half today being told how to surf the internet. (Sample question from one of the other teachers on the course; "so, hang on, the g in gmail, does it stand for google then, because it seems like they're linked." I managed not to weep.) We did get to learn a couple of search term short cuts, interesting ways to use google docs and a crash course in delicious.com so all was not lost.
Nimoy came up to me today, at random, hit me on the arm and said "Mammy, you're it!" and ran off. No idea where she got that from but when I asked her she said "Ben and Holly". Who says kids don't learn anything from tv?
Speaking of Nimoy, here, have a picture.
