I wrote this for tumblr earlier today which is where most of the NCIS/Ellick fandom appears to be, but I find tumblr a hell site for being able to find anything so I’m also posting it here.

There are spoilers for the finale that aired in the states last night, although I’ve not seen the full episode and am going from reviews and one particular scene that’s been posted to tumblr and Twitter. It also contains a very brief reference to NCIS Los Angeles and their finale from Sunday night.

Just put Abigail down and grabbing some internet time before I go downstairs again to tidy up/iron bedsheets and a duvet cover. Was home all day today...HelsinkiMammy had the vomiting bug that was going around so couldn't mind her, Himself was at work already so I had to call in, apologising profusely to NewHelsinkiPrincipal... felt awful about it, even though nothing could be done; I mean, I'm bad enough about calling in sick when I'm actually sick! (Himself has often said, and it is true, that my last words will be "No, really, I'm fine *gurgh*"

Had lovely day though, just hanging out with the little miss... and it also gave me time to fully indulge the plot bunny that I got served with last night as I couldn't sleep and I was pondering what LJ let me see, the new

ncis_flashfic prompts are up and one of the amnesty prompts is AU...which is up my alley anyway and then bam one came to me, and then more and I may end up having more than one story to write and this hasn't happened to me in so long I don't quite know what to do!

Another day on the sofa in front of the tv, this time with an NCIS marathon. The last two eps of season six, and as of just now, the first three of season seven. I'd forgotten how nice it is to see a season finale and then have the opener to go straight in to!

For those of you on Nimoy watch, there is still no movement. Whenever there is, I will let people know... though Himself is LJ illiterate, so it'll either have to wait til I get home and can turn on a computer, or I'll get someone to do an update...something will be worked out...

So in the last couple of weeks I've made my way through NCIS season 5 in its entirety, and am making a serious dent in season 6 (just seen 6x07) Thoughts thus far...

* Can we just lock Tony and Ziva in a room and not let them out until they're an item? Because seriously.

* Abby continues to rock; I love her. The stuff with Jethro the Dog was brilliant.

* Gibbs got some backstory! The episode with the daughter's friend was brilliant, and Heartland made me cry at the end. I am blaming it on hormones. And I will never be able to listen to Michael Bublé's Lost again without thinking of that.

* If anyone knows any Gibbs/Shannon fic, please to be pointing it my way? Thank you!

* Rocky Carroll, I love you and all, but your presence in the opening credits is the very definition of "money for nothing". Or if not nothing, then for very little. Does he get more of a presence as the season goes on?

* Tony and Ziva and the room? I'm just sayin'.

Have spent the last couple of days catching up on NCIS season 4 (yes, I know I'm behind, but season 5 is on shiny discs waiting for me, and I forsee a marathon!) and loving it. Have developed a whole new love for Ziva, which I've never had, and for McGee as well. I'm all in the giddy fangirl love thing where you finish one ep and you just have to put on the next one, I'd forgotten what that felt like!

Getting ready for G4 this weekend, and post honeymoon, the thought of another airport and packing another suitcase is not exactly filling me with glee. I know I will enjoy the con, and we're going to Wicked in London on the Thursday night (not Himself, as he has to work, so girls' night, yay!) and it's all good and shiny... but the thoughts of getting there? Colour me blah.

Those of you who prompted me at the weekend, good news, two of the ficlets are written in my head, it's just a matter of getting them down on paper. Or screen.

firstlines1000 challenge number 23. It's a Tony/Kate post ep for Bete Noir which I saw on Friday night and promptly stayed up until half one in the morning writing this... which kinda says all you need to know about its readability anyway. ( Awakenings )

This would have been written earlier were it not for the fact that I got offline when my dad popped his head in the door and asked me if I wanted to go for a spin in his new car. As in a drive of his new car. S Class Mercedes, 2 litre engine. Automatic. Beautiful car. And he's letting me drive it... my daddy just rocks!

But now I am home, watching the crap that is the You're A Star final - think American/Pop Idol with the winner going to Eurovision. Watched the contest, such as it was last night, with HelsinkiSister and got very pissed off... the better singer is not the judges' favoured, and they basically told him in their comments, you're good but we want Chris to win. HelsinkiMammy was out but left phone with HelsinkiSister to get her to phone vote for James... we got so incensed by the obvious bias that our phones came out for the text voting. It was actually worse than the Ruben bias in American Idol last year...

Then HelsinkiCousin arrived this lunchtime... she and the fiancee have set the date. October 1st, so that was nice.

And since Meath lost in the football having lead through most of the match, we needed that good news!

I hate staff meetings. And can someone tell me how I got volunteered to teach other members of staff how to use the scanner when we have our in-school ICT training day? I mean seriously. Why didn't I tackle the teacher sitting beside me when she said, and I quote, "helsinkibaby is a whizz at computers. Should she be in a group with people who know nothing?" And why didn't I shoot the teachers who replied "Yes! Absolutely!" How do I get myself into these things?

Which is also what I asked myself when writing this.

Spent the day not telling the boys not to come in tomorrow since the girls are doing their entrance exam... of course, not being much with the subtlety, they're there going, "Miss, are you telling us that we don't have to come in?" Cue me, panicking, because I'm absolutely not allowed to tell them that, going, "No. That's not what I'm saying." (nodding vigorously) "Do you understand what I'm not saying to you?" (Big wink)

Happy days of shopping today - found Anne of Green Gables - The Sequel on DVD in town! Yes, it was expensive, yes I could have got it cheaper online (and I'm about to get Anne 1 online to prove my point!) and yes, I have it on video. But this is DVD, this is Anne, and there are deleted scenes and a director's commentary and did I mention that it's got Gil on DVD? So yes, happy helsinkibaby.

butterflykiki 's journal and read the DVD Director's commentary meme that she did for Sonambulist which I've just killed the spelling of, and Statisical Outliers (or why we all should ship Sam/Daniel) because they're great. This is a meme that seems to be doing the rounds at the moment, and I've already made my requests of

neonhummingbird so therefore I suppose I should extend the offer my own self... ergo, if there are any of my stories that anyone here would like me to do a commentary on, pop it in the comments.

I'm drabbling for Navy NCIS.

azarsuerte I'm blaming you! We have ( Being Strong ) which is Gibbs/Kate, and we have ( Unconventional Perfection ) which is Tony/Abby. Both are allegedly love stories that don't use the word love, as per the drabble challenge topic.

Question - is there any chance of Peyton Manning remembering that he can actually play football some time in the next eleven and a half minutes? I want to know.

So I'm in town shopping today and I come across the George Strait Live at the Astrodome CD. On import. Cost me an obscene amount of money and I know I could get it for half price on line, but it was in my hand and it's George and there's no way I can fight that kind of destiny. Nor can I fight the urge to order myself the DVD version (see last week's post about the multi-regionness of the family DVD player)

And speaking of destiny... shows.

The OC. I am in love with Seth. That is all. I am also loving this show. Seriously. No plot bunnies as of yet

One Tree Hill. Shipper heaven. Haley/Lucas, Karen/Keith, this is me in happy land. Karen is my hero, and proof that the character of Mandy Hampton was just a blip on my Moira Kelly loving self's radar screen. Dan and Nathan both need a serious smacking, which I would be only too happy to give them.

And now, Navy NCIS. Oh dear. See, I didn't look at the first one last night, but saw the second (FX are doing double bills, one and two last night, two and three next week, and so on) but I did look at the second one and quite liked it. Looked at the both of them with HelsinkiSister after The OC and One Tree Hill tonight (I've just looked at way too much tv!) and oh me, oh my, adoration has set in. I mean, Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly, what's not to love, but I liked the show too... and ship? Ship? Has anyone seen the sparkage between Kate and Gibbs? (Mark Harmon and Sasha Alexander) I mean, he called her Katie! And then there's Abby and Tony, and lest you think I'm going all conventional on you, there is also a nice little sideline between Kate and Tony going with me...I see danger all around me, danger!
