Because TG4 (the little station that could, our Irish language station) rocks.
This Wednesday, they are starting the new series of Without a Trace. On Friday, they're going to start showing Carnivale. And tonight, they started The O.C. and One Tree Hill. (bow down before TG4 controllers. Who rock)
The OC - have heard so much about this and really did enjoy it, even if I am still bitter that they took off Presidio Med repeats to make way for it. Yes, I liked Seth, but goddammit, I was feeling the Oded love from PM and I'm bitter! Seems like a show I'll be very interested in, even if I don't particularly like Peter Gallagher, but I'm tuning in next week to see what happens.
One Tree Hill on the other hand - well, put it this way, I knew nothing about it. And I was mildly freaked out that Mandy Hampton was old enough to be the mom of the guitar playing jerk from season 5 Dawson's Creek and the love interest in Freaky Friday, but they actually play well off one another and they explained it well in the show, not ignoring how young she actually is. And God help me, but I adored the show... I can see a big obsession coming with it if it keeps going on the way that it's started, and the tapes are already coming out for next week... believe it or not, I didn't want to get into any new shows this year, I've enough to be going on with fandom wise! I was sitting there looking at it going "Stop being good! Be rubbish!" But alas and alack, to no avail.
Did I mention that TG4 rock? Because they do. The only thing I'd forgotten is that all their ads, while the clips are in English, the voiceovers are, obviously, as Gaeilge, as are the comments over the credits, and AFAIC, none of the commentators have a decent accent that I can understand easily! I can feel my Irish is going to improve to no end.
And BTW, a free for all challenge on CSReports? Not fair.
Have just shrieked fit to wake the house as have seen ad for Sorority Boys... Lex Luthor in drag... my eyes, my eyes!
