Oct. 12th, 2004 02:52 pmMy Ultimate Fame CD arrived today *happy sigh* And some wonderful soul in the fandom has put the first series on to DVD, plus the annuals, magazines etc onto CD, and those arrived yesterday. What with yesterday's news, have only just seen if they work (in sun room with big ass screen, no - older DVD player. In brand spanking new computer? Yes. Love my computer). So the backlog just, once more, got backloggier.
Sidebar - Dublin last Saturday. HMV sale. Deep Space Nine box sets, half price. Season 1,2,3,4,5 and 6. No 7. Which is the one I want. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing.
We had our school beginning of year mass today (yes, I know we're back a month and more) The gospel was the one about how God has counted every hair on our heads and knows it... so the priest, in his sermon, calls over the altar boy, produces a big ass scissors from the folds of his vestements, proceeding to, with the child's consent, whack off a lock of his hair and hold it up to the congregation, to remind us that even though those hairs look so small and insignificant and can blow away, be washed down the drain when you take a shower, God still knows them. The kids were agog. (He further made comments on some of the teachers, and what great heads of hair we had... I was the last name he called oout, and only then because every child in the school was muttering my name...ok, calling out my name, the waist length hair was kind of obvious. As I said, if I knew I was going to be a gospel aide, I would have left it out!)
Have PE tomorrow, and yard duty. Pray for me.
If you made it this far in my ramblings, I have fic. Mostly drabbles, no Fame, though I'm sure that will come.

Stargate Atlantis... yes. Can't slash, won't slash, and yet, less than two minutes in and I was sore tempted. *headdesk* Someone needs to talk me out of this.
