I love my camera.

The ConventionPhoto!Gods have smiled on me... a number of nice ones of everyone, and a high percentage of drool-worthy Alexis ones (seriously... anyone hear a loud explosion around 4o'clock Irish time? Neen's hormones, because man, there was some serious good karma going my way during that talk!)

And it's amazing how much comes back to you once you flick through photos... carolinecrane remember how you once told me I always have great CSI Miami stories for you??? As soon as I type up something resembling thoughts on the weekend, you're going to have another one, and this? Is the Best.One.Ever!

Though I must say... when you see a photo, remember making a show of yourself right after it was taken, and burst out laughing leaving your mother sitting looking at you as if you're insane, which of course, she already thinks I am what with a stack of 12 photo wallets beside me and all... yeah... it's interesting!

And carolinecrane, I promised you a CSI Miami story...this is one with a difference! Very few people were asking Aaron questions on the Saturday, so I asked him, "If you weren't on Battlestar Galactica, what other show would you like to be on?" Answer started off as normal; he'd like to do a guest voice on the Simpsons, maybe the Sopranos. Then we hit paydirt.

"Original CSI maybe... or CSI New York." *slight pause* "Not CSI Miami." *pause while we laugh knowingly* "Do you guys watch that show? Hands up who watches it. Hands up who hates it?" Then he comes *off his chair* and proceeds to enter the funniest rant ever about David Caruso and his "style" of acting... "Who wears Prada to a crime scene?" and then went off on the way he speaks... "I wish I had sunglasses so I could do it properly, but he stands there with his hands on his hip, and talks to the corpse" - whereupon he does a dead on Horatio impression - before saying that he could never be on that show, because he'd be the one over at the side screaming (and he did scream!) "Who are you talking to???? I'm over here!!!!" He reckoned he'd get himself fired in about two seconds, and the only role he'd like on that show is the one of the person who killed Horatio... and this point, the room is in knots laughing, and I'm whooping right along with them, before I realise that I'm still in front of the mike, and have most probably deafened whomsoever was on the other end in the tech crew! Without doubt, the answer of the weekend, if not any con, anywhere, ever, and I swear, having seen on the internet/in magazines for so long how wonderful DC is in that role (which I do see in some places!) it was great to see someone else saying exactly what we've been saying for so long!

We have the technology!

So I'm here, msn-ing to my heart's delight,and I check my emails. And what pops in? A message from HelsinkiDaddy. Which is odd, because, you know, he's downstairs in the sitting room. And what does the message say? "Jeanine - Can you print this for me?" Because someone sent him this document on his Blackberry and does he shout up the stairs to tell me about it? No, he sends me the whole request in an email! It just struck me as hilarious, for no particular reason - I mean, two years ago, the man couldn't turn on a computer, now he knows that the quickest way to talk to me in the evenings is via computer, and he can do it!
