May. 19th, 2005 10:07 pmFirst of all, last night's concert. It must be said, and said often - Keith Urban? Totally rocks. And also? Might just be one of the prettiest people I've ever seen in real life. That smile... Holy Moses, that smile. Which he flashed around a lot, because he completely couldn't believe that so many people who came out to see Bryan Adams were enjoying him so much! Out of my four favourite songs, he played three of them (Raining on Sunday, You Look Good In My Shirt, Someone Like You, but no Where The Blacktop Ends) And he rocked. Did I mention he rocked? He's also apparently, doing a full tour in October... join me in praying that he won't clash with Galactica or Serenity2!
Bryan Adams? To be honest, to the sheer vexation of the other 7,998 people in the Point, me and B were like, "Meh." But he put on a good show (if a tad over-amped for my ears) and he played a full half hour of encores...whatever vitamins he's on, I'll have a pound thanks!
Looks like I've got my summer course booked for August... it's Practical Art which will strike those of you who know I can't draw a straight line with a ruler as highly amusing, but I figure it's primary school art, how much actual talent do you need?

And speaking of, and I apologise for this... American Idol Watchers! I know I've ranted about the Wednesday show before, and to those of you who put your thoughts in cut-tags for those of us overseas who don't get it until Friday or Saturday evenings, I thank you. However, please remember WRITING DOWN WHO'S STILL IN IT/WHO YOU THINK WILL WIN NEXT WEEK IS STILL A SPOILER! Yes, I'm being narky about this, to the point of complete and utter rudeness, but...cut tags people! They are there for a reason! Especially when it's the day after the show and there are people all over the world, including the States, who might, for whatever reason, have not seen it. Am I being unreasonable here???? < / end of rant >
Oooooh! And our school girls' gaelic football team won their playoff today! Very tight match, ended up winning by a point (and considering I'd had a thumping headache all day, the increase in my blood pressure in the second half? Not a good thing!) But, that means that we're in the schools final, and in June, we're off to Parnell Park (Dublin's second largest GAA ground) to play in the final! They're thrilled with themselves, as are the teachers who train them...and we all know what we're doing for art the week before it: banners in the school colours! I love a good plan!
