You Know You're a Fan When...

...you're at a History Inservice Day, and the facilitator is demonstrating how you might get young kids to demonstrate an understanding of chronology by having various things that kids might have owned from babyhood to the age of five years or so.

One of the artefacts happens to be a toy dinosaur.

Which you see and instantly go, "Wash!"

And have everyone around you going "Wuh?"

So, HelsinkiSister gets home from work today, and she, having been online and read about last night's CMA Awards (which I can't read about until I see them, and since I'm away this weekend when they're on that'll be sometime next week!) asks me a question.

"Did you hear about Chris LeDoux?"

I answer, honestly, "No." And I'm informed that he passed away in March. Where was I that I didn't know this?

This, btw, is where I realise that no-one on my flist knows who Chris LeDoux is. demon_faith if you still are liking your country, you could do worse than track down his duet with Garth, "Whatcha Gonna Do With a Cowboy?" or if you're really eclectic, try to find his version of Springsteen's "Tougher than the Rest". Which I've just remembered I do have on CD somewhere and I'm going to find now!
