Housing update...

For those of you who haven't already received The Text Message of Squee, contracts for the house were signed today, and now have to go back to the vendor for her signature. *squee*

The closing date, which I mentioned yesterday as October 27th? Is wrong.

It's actually October 20th. *NEXT FRIDAY*

See, Il Solicitore, in his phone call on Monday, said "Friday fortnight". Which I assumed to mean "this Friday, plus a fortnight", because I would have said tomorrow (Friday 13th) was "this Friday", the 20th would have been "Friday week" and the 27th "Friday fortnight"... mind you, I should have asked for qualification, because it's one of those conventions of language that I always get wrong, but, how and ever.

All going well, I should have the keys to the house next Friday.
