English class, doing the new vocabulary from the new chapter of our novel. One of the kids asked what "tenant" meant.
Another child didn't even blink as he put up his hand.
"It's a surname."
And the really bad thing? I knew this kid was going to say it, and I picked out the three kids who were going to be nodding in agreement as the rest of them went "Whuh?"
It being the first day back, I am choosing to smile about this rather than *headdesk*
