Sad news

Saw onsmiley_b's journal last night that John Dye, better known as Andrew from Touched by an Angel passed away on Monday at the age of 47. Spent some of last night then on youtube looking at some clips...I'd forgotten how much I loved that show, and him in it. RTE used to play silly beggars with it all the time until they settled it in the Sunday lunchtime slot, and I am actively embarrassed to admit how many times I cried into my mashed potatoes over that show!

I still remember the Oprah special they did, where John told the story of getting late on an aeroplane, where the woman next to him was already asleep...when she woke up mid-flight, she promptly freaked out because she was terrified of flying and waking up to find the Angel of Death sitting beside her didn't fill her with confidence!
