Nov. 16th, 2011 11:03 pmA Hawaii 5-0 Drabble Challenge hosted by
powrhug, all pairings and all ratings.
Walked into class this morning and began by stamping on everyone (verbally, of course). Had peace, quiet and good behaviour on our walk through the town up to the library where we were a half hour and more early for our global warming workshop because they'd given us the wrong time. Kids spent time sitting in the junior library section, looking through books and having whispered chats, good as gold. Went home tonight with feck all homework to prove how nice I can be when they do what I say.
Then came back to school and saw someone (NewHelsinkiPrincipal most likely) had left the scores and highlights of the new circular on literacy and numeracy from the department of education on my desk. Plenty of "duh, what do you think we've been doing" moments, and frankly scary moments of assessment and who they need to go to ahoy.... I see league tables a la UK on our horizon. Not good.
