Title: A Woman Left Lonely
Pairing: Leo/Ainsley
Rating: PG
Spoilers: None
Ainsley’s not Jenny.
So Ainsley’s told him, so Leo’s told himself, over and over again. Just like he’s told himself that he’s learned from his past mistakes, that he’s going to make time for Ainsley, make time for their relationship.
He does, and on the occasions when he’s late home, when he has to skip dinner, she always smiles and tells him she understands.
He still worries though, that history is going to repeat itself, because he knows that a woman left lonely will soon grow tired of waiting.
He waits for her to realise that, but she never does.
Title: A Single Yesterday
Pairing: CJ/Simon
Rating: PG
Spoilers: Posse Comitatus
It’s odd, to be standing here, looking down into a grave, knowing that it could have been mine. After all, I’ve spent the last few weeks living under a death sentence, looking over my shoulder, and if there’s one thing I knew, it’s that I wasn’t ready to die.
I had too much to live for, and after a few weeks of Special Agent Sunshine following me around, I thought I had even more.
I think differently now.
Now, I’d trade all my tomorrows for a single yesterday, to be standing on a New York street wrapped in his arms.
