helsinkibabySo I get home from the church after attending a Confirmation preparation ceremony, and while Nimoy is getting ready for bed I do a quick facebook scan and as if punishment for being a bad mother, I lose a part of my childhood with the news that Davy Jones of the Monkees has passed away.
Obviously, I'm too young for the original broadcast. (Obviously, ok? Way obviously!) But one summer the BBC repeated all the programs, and then showed them on Saturday mornings and I used to love it when they played out with Daydream Believer because as only the very young and innocent can, I believed that he was singing about my mum.
My Flash Plugin is crashing so I can't play YouTube on the laptop and don't know if this can really link, but this is what I'll be teaching my class tomorrow....
