I've not read anything or spoken to anyone, so this could be just me howling in the void here, but I've got to say, I enjoyed the big blue cheese out of that episode!

Sam gets a boyfriend, and he's a DeLuise - which, if you know me, means that the ep automatically goes up in my book. However as of now, David DeLuise is no longer "the other DeLuise brother" but an object worthy of admiration in his own right. He was perfect as Pete, there was great chemistry between him and Amanda, and dude, he took her dancing! Got a bit nervy when he did the whole background check thing, but loved loved loved how he took it all on the chin at the end. Though I must say, during the whole "Why I became a cop" scene, I realised something; he might be a cop called Pete, and it might be David DeLuise, not Peter DeLuise, but Pete was basically Doug Penhall... I almost expected him to produce an El Salvadoran wife and nephew. demonfaith that's a 21 Jump Street reference, because I know I've just well and truly lost you.

The elevator scene - Sam humming the theme tune? How cool was that??? And Jack's whole "humming" thing was pretty funny... they really did the whole bantering thing well there... more of that, less of the ship and I'm a happy helsinkibaby.

And just in case it's not clear from what I've just said - big fan of Sam/Pete, please producers, bring him back.

Scenes between Daniel and Sara... again, more with the nice chemistry of it all. Daniel in civvies and scruff is always a nice visual, and I must say, he was looking good. Not sure that I'm a big fan of that final close up of her where she's looking off to the side, that seemed a litle sus to me, but then again, I'm probably wrong. I do wonder how she's going to react in the aftermath, also how Pete is, but we'll probably never know.

Great scene in the gym between Daniel and Teal'c where Teal'c said that he didn't know how Daniel had slept well up until now... and I also loved the little backrub from Sam in the cafteria! And while I'm at it, there was a scene between Sam and Teal'c and Daniel where they
copped on to what had been happening with Sara/Osiris, and the whole love of episode thing has totally put the exact line out of my mind, but Sam said something snarky to Daniel, and it was a two shot of the two of them, and he just gave her this *look*... hard to describe, but I really liked it! (Along with much of the ep I gotta say)

All in all, I think that's the most I've enjoyed an ep in a very long time... good storyline that moved along well, was continuity sound, plenty of good one liners (Teal'c and the doughnuts anyone?) - it'll do me!!!
