Happy days of shopping today - found Anne of Green Gables - The Sequel on DVD in town! Yes, it was expensive, yes I could have got it cheaper online (and I'm about to get Anne 1 online to prove my point!) and yes, I have it on video. But this is DVD, this is Anne, and there are deleted scenes and a director's commentary and did I mention that it's got Gil on DVD? So yes, happy helsinkibaby.

Anyone who reads Stargate SG1 Sam/Daniel fic should take a hop over to butterflykiki 's journal and read the DVD Director's commentary meme that she did for Sonambulist which I've just killed the spelling of, and Statisical Outliers (or why we all should ship Sam/Daniel) because they're great. This is a meme that seems to be doing the rounds at the moment, and I've already made my requests of neonhummingbird so therefore I suppose I should extend the offer my own self... ergo, if there are any of my stories that anyone here would like me to do a commentary on, pop it in the comments.

First day back at school today, and it was one of those reflection on the new curriculum days, where you look at what you’re doing and decide that you’re not teaching the kids half enough and you really should be doing something else for a living. Though I know that for the next two months, I’m doing English Irish and Maths all day in an effort to assure that they don’t completely disgrace themselves in their entrance exams. Although since they’re making their Confirmation, I shall obviously also squeeze religion in there somewhere.

That aside, first day back proved what I’ve long thought – teaching would be a lovely job if there weren’t any kids.

That much said, I must speak of Grace and in an effort to protect those who have not seen it and do not wish to know of it, I shall talk about my opinions, complete with dialogue, so really don’t click if you don’t want to know, ( “here” )
