Have drabbles, but they will wait.

First of all, a big thank you to those of you who watch and who kept this off my friends list today. Because I swear by all I hold dear, had I known the results, I would not have watched.

OK, I think that most people can pretty much guess my frame of mind right now, right? In case you can't, let me put it this way. I have never in my life cried over an AI/Pop Idol/any reality show you care to mention boot. Never done it.

I bawled like a child during George's sing out.

I'm biased. The word objective is nowhere near my vocabulary right about now. And while I'm prepared to admit that Cheek to Cheek was rough in spots during the performance show (and indeed, was sung better during the results show) I thought Wonderful World was sublime. It moved me to tears in performance. What really rankled though, was the comments from the judges. Telling him he was "too safe" as Simon and Randy did, when, for the last two weeks all he's heard is "You're doing too much, tone it down" was a bit of a cheek as far as I'm concerned... and that's my big problem with these judges; they give advice then criticise the contestants when they take it. Loved loved loved how classy he was when he went out, still smiling and hugging everyone, and I love the fact that he wasn't even supposed to be there... I'm such a huge fan of his right now, and I'm just broken hearted.

Now, on to the rest of them, and this is going to be brief I think. Jasmine. The Way You Look Tonight - I like that song, and she actually did not suck as bad as I feared on it, though there were some notes... < shudder > . The second song I thought was dire (It's Almost Like Being In Love) -- I can't believe that beat Wonderful World. And namecheck for Hawa (little pause) ii in the middle of it... pardon me while I collect my eyes, they have rolled under the bed.

Fantasia - I thought Crazy Little Thing Called Love got better as it went on, but it didn't start great. And the second song, What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life ... ok, maybe it didn't come across on tv, or as you all know, just not to a Fantasia fan, but I didn't think that it was all the judges said it was and it certainly didn't move me to tears, as it did Paula. Not bad, but not wow as Randy would say. I was very interested in seeing how truly terrified she looked at the results show there... mind you, if I'd've been here, I would've been too... I'd say she was thinking that they were going to psyche them out and put the last two as the final two.

Speaking of not bad but not wow... LaToya. Great voice, good performance, skirt needed to be two or three inches longer to be truly flattering. She did really well, hit lots of glory notes (Shack at TWoP said that if you converted them to distance and tied them together they'd stretch around the world) and I liked her well enough considering I didn't know her first song (Too Close for Comfort) and her second one was Broadway. Nobody's Gonna Rain On My Parade -- found it really interesting that Simon is now considering "a good Broadway performance" a compliment... considering all Clay Aiken heard last year was that he was too Broadway and it was made clear that that was a negative.

Diana. Shoot whoever put that dress near your body. When in court, show that video. Any jury will call it justifiable homicide and you'll be on the street in time to sing the national anthem at the Superbowl next year. And yeah, you sang well, though I still think you're bleating just a little too much, esp on Someone To Watch Over Me but Get Happy could have been made for you. And honey? Put down the junk food. Send it to Randy, he was better when he was fat.

And Paula, just shut up.

That. Is. All.

Except...disco? Donna Summer? Bite me.
