Jul. 25th, 2005 07:51 pmStitches all gone, and how happy am I for that! All went very well this morning, got there early and got taken in straight away, so was back on street before my appointment time even - this made both me and HelsinkiMammy very happy. Talked to HelsinkiSpecialist who said that the tooth came out very well, CAT scan showed exactly where it was, ie, lodged in the nerve canal above my two front teeth. Should be no damage to any of my teeth whatsoever, but have follow up appointment in 6weeks to make sure. (That's something to tell HelsinkiPrincipal on the first day back to school - "I'm going to be sick in two weeks, but it's nothing to do with a convention!") Palatte behind four front teeth still completely numb, which is interesting, but sensation should come back eventually. I am reassured.

tk_rtmt -- rooms for the con finally booked, two twins. Rang the Thistle, asked for In House res, to which I got put through, then the *deepbreath* woman there switched me to Central Res, which of course is no good because they never have the con rates there. So the poor chap there, and I warned him he was going to have to do that, got all surprised when he had to put me *back* to the Heathrow Thistle, where I'd already been connected to five minutes earlier, and then I got a very nice and helpful woman who booked the rooms on a very slow system, and volunteered to send me email confirmation of same. Newsflash of the day, someone with a brain works at the Thistle. Honestly, it's amazing to me how that place stays in business.
And now I must go and make 20 selections for the latest round of The Pairings That Ate Fandom over at
ithurtsmybrain. All of you should do the same!
