(no subject)

Made it through school today, just about. Foolishly didn't take painkillers before work this morning, as I didn't think I needed them... wrong! By ten o'clock, talking was noticeably painful, with a slight coppery tang in my mouth, by half past I'd given up and had them writing. At eleven I took painkillers at tea break, and within a half an hour I was feeling much better... so much so that when one of the other teachers asked me at lunchtime how I was feeling, she got the answer, "Jaysus, drugs are wonderful and don't let anyone tell you any different." Here's hoping no kids heard that or SPHE is going to get very interesting!

Speaking of school and teeth... it is proposed, by a large number of teachers, that we have our parent teacher meetings on November 29th. What's wrong with that, I hear you ask. Nothing, I reply, except that I am supposed to be, unless Yer Man changes his mind yet again getting my bottom braces on the 28th! I mean, for crying out loud, PT meetings are horrible enough at the best of times without wondering can they actually understand me!
