helsinkibabyI made it home. In reasonably good time. Got to the airport a full three hours before my flight was scheduled to leave, because there was no way of knowing what we'd find once we got there... still wasn't first in the check in queue, go figure! Checked in fine, went and got food, said goodbye to Himself (there were tears, it was very ugly) and went through. Because of the separate lane for Ireland departures, I managed to skip some of the queue (hugs Manchester Airport) and only had to queue for 15 minutes... they were hand searching everyone, you had to take off shoes and belts, and the only things you were allowed to carry (in a clear plastic bag) were literally the essentials... passport, small wallet, tickets/boarding card, tissues, essential medications... nothing else, no exceptions. Funniest thing was the sight of the people who kept on patting their pockets to find their mobile phones which were in the hold...that and trying to figure out how the hell a payphone operates!!! It's amazing how quickly you go from "mobile phone? what do I need that for???" to "Why don't you just take off my arm????" Made the phone work, called Himself to let him know I was delayed by an hour, he texted Mum to let her know... so it could have been worse. It was three hours earlier on in the day.
So yes, am home. And still with no word on when we're signing for the house. *pouts* It's dragging out a little too long now!!! *is impatient*
I miss England. *sigh*
On a non-related note, Elvis Stojko announced last night at the Mariposa Gala that that was his last public skating performance... *moment's silence for Elvis* I will miss him.

smiley_b earlier on to ask her what the ep of CSI on UKLiving was... she flicked it on and said she didn't know, but Grissom had no beard and Greg was in the field. My next question, for the pause of not a second, was "Is there a bus? Because it might be Chasing the Bus" And sure enough? There was a bus. I worry about it sometimes, but I've still got it!!!
