Am currently procrastinating... should be packing but here I am instead! Just looked for pair of jeans that I wanted to take with me, they are nowhere in the press, so I'm hoping that I left them in Karl's house during the Great Suitcase Purge of August 10th... think I've got everything. One of the girls is picking me up for school tomorrow, another is dropping me to the airport after school (I love my buds!) and when I get to Manchester, we're driving straight down to London... would have been much easier to fly there, but the original plan (in July) was to drive down to the wedding on Friday morn and spend Thursday night at Karl's... then we started worrying about traffic and making it for the wedding, and faced with the prospect of having to leave the house by 6 in the morning on the Friday, just to be on the safe side, we decided to drive down tomorrow evening.
I'd not be looking forward to that if it wasn't for the fact that my flight from Heathrow on Monday morning is at 6.50, and with the new security measures, Aer Lingus are advocating at least a two and a half hour check in time. You do the maths! I can do fast pass check in, so that's ok, but I'll have to drop my bag, as the hand luggage restrictions apply, and then queue for security... and the queues could be long enough at that hour of the morning before the security scare, so you can imagine how freaked out I am about that! At least I'll be DJ-ified that convention... I'm not doing any of the talks, so at least I can stay in bed until noon or later...
But at school on Monday, there will be writing. Lots and lots and lots and lots of writing. *pictures the subjects in her head* Yes, lots and lots of writing. Screw my carefully prepared timetable!!!
