Charlie made a choice months ago, to give up quietly, to let death take her, not to fight. She’d made her peace with what was ahead of her.
Then he came.
A funny little Japanese man, who had barely enough English to tell her that he was here from the future to save her life.
A funny little Japanese man who gave her flowers, made her origami cranes, made her fall in love with him.
He can’t save her life, but when she looks at the ticket to Japan, she knows he’s saved her soul.
For that, he’s her Hiro.
