helsinkibabyStaff Christmas night out/retirement do was on Friday night. Have learned I can no longer stay out til half one and have child waking me up at seven in the morning. This is not good. Good night, even if I did have a wardrobe malfunction halfway through - very pretty dress split a good six inches along the seam; when G tried to staple it back together it became rapidly apparent there was not enough of a seam to hold the staples, or the stitching, proven as the damn thing decided to fray over the course of the night. Dress returned next day, full refund given. Result.
Also serious amount of scandal came out of the night, with three staff members, none of whom are overly popular, revealing their true colours for all to see. Creepy Pervert M was one such, and he exhausted even my considerable reserves of tolerance... I was giving him a lift to and from and on the way back I came very close to f***ing him out of the car. Twice. Once when we were rounding the harbour! He kept low profile today but had the unmitigated and colossal gall to come in after school and thank me for the lift... there is money flying as to whether he actually remembers how much of an ass he was. Suffice it to say, he was making Charlie Sheen look like a preferable driving companion.

apocalypsos gets the quote of the day on the whole debacle..."every time he opens his mouth anymore I want to go to Martin Sheen's house and give him a hug and say, "Hey, at least Emilio turned out okay."
This Friday is last entrance exam day... I so cannot wait. If I see one more badly written Irish essay I will lose the will to wield my red pen.
On the bright side, not-quite-sister-in-law has had the foresight to book six-month-old nephew in England's christening on a weekend when my school is closed for five glorious days thanks to St Patrick's day... she didn't even know. I love it when a plan comes together!
