helsinkibabyGot up at eight this morning with Nimoy and call me a bad mother if you want, I refused her pleas to put on "Waybuloo" and had on the Royal Wedding for most of the day. I was an unashamed great big ball of schmoop during it, and I enjoyed every minute... my favourite response when people ask me, "But why?" is to quote a tweet I saw during the week... anyone who doesn't appreciate the Royal Wedding didn't watch enough Disney movies as a child! (tm Whichever witty person came up with that.)
Have also seen what there is to be seen of Worlds on Eurosport. Delighted for Patrick Chan.
Please be teaching Oda to count. The twelve points that uncounted combo cost him would have given him bronze.
Poor Takahashi...though I thought you could restart if it was down to equipment failure?
Amodio throwing in lyrics and getting away with it.... not good. (from what I understand, the technical caller knew the rule that the judges should deduct for it, the judges thought the caller would, and therefore no-one did.)
Yay for Virtue and Moir! Lovely to see them in k&c when the marks came up, Scott going, "I don't know what that means" and Tessa asking Igor "What does that mean?"
Enjoyed Marlie as well and how about those Shibs? 4th after the SD in their first worlds? Whay-hey!
Yankowskas and Coughlin were amazing. Shame about the short but I loved their long. And 6th in their first worlds? Yay!
Happy for the Germans but Voloshozhar and Trankov may be my new favourites. They were awesome!
