OK, so there is a multi fandom fluff meme going around. And I kinda may have sorta did write a Danny/Kono snippet of comment fic for it. I wrote it in ten minutes and posted it before I lose my nerve so if there's any problems with it that''s why!



Kono hates being cold.

Kono hates being cold, but she loves Christmas and she loves Danny, so this being the first Christmas they've been dating, she wants to spend it with him. Unfortunately, Rachel wants to spend Christmas with her parents in New Jersey, which means Gracel is in New Jersey. Which means Danny is spending Christmas in New Jersey and, therefore so is Kono.

To his credit, Danny tries to make it easy for her. They're staying with his sister who he emailed at Thanksgiving with Kono's clothes sizes so that she'd have choices of weather appropriate clothing when they got there. He barely leaves her side for a second, even when Grace is there, the very model of the attentive boyfriend.

But there's a foot of snow on the ground and Kono is constantly freezing.

Until Christmas Eve, when everyone else has gone to bed and she and Danny are curled up on the couch in front of the fire. His arms are around her, playing with her hair; her head is pillowed on his chest as "It's a Wonderful Life" plays on the tv. "I love this movie," he says, right before he kisses her in that way he has of kissing her that means things aren't going to stop at just kissing.

"I thought you loved this movie?" she says, laughing as she comes up for air, and he shrugs, quite a feat with her wrapped all around her like he is.

"Yeah...but I love you too."

It's the first time he's said that, and Kono's breath catches, both at the words and the look on his face. "I love you too," she says and he kisses her again.

This time, they don't stop.
