So, spoiler under the cut for NCIS LA from a tvequals interview with Renee Felice Smith...my head, it go splodey.

So do you feel now that you know more of her back-story than the audience is privy to?

Renee Felice Smith: I know just as much as the audience knows. Every week get the script and I’m kind of anxious to read it and find out more about these characters. They’re pretty secretive. They keep it locked up. But I do know that we will learn more about Nell and Eric’s relationship through the end of the season because we have a character coming back. Nate is coming back.

Oh, awesome.

Renee Felice Smith: Yeah, so, Nate’s coming back. And pretty much causes a little friction between Eric and Nell. So I think that’s good for the show. It keeps everyone on their toes. And these conflicts force us to learn more about the characters.

Do it looks like we'll be getting the backstory on the way they know one another?? And sidebar, I have to say, little throwaway continuity references that we get from this show make me happy! Rose got name checked in the ep with Drew Fuller for example. I like how they set up stuff and then they do pay it off!

Of course this is where I go nutty trying to figure out the backstory. Because if Nate is causing friction between Eric and Nell, it almost sounds romantic but if she's as young as she appears, how the hell would that work?

And also wouldn't she have to stand on a box to kiss him? Or ten?!

I will not write it. I will not.
