Watched the series finale of Dawson's Creek today. Things I have learned

In other news I have taught Nimoy to blow a raspberry every time she hears the name Dawson. I have not lived in vain.

Just in case anyone was wondering, my Dawson's Creek season three rematch is now up to The Anti Prom. I can confirm that Pacey's "I remember everything" has more than stood the test of time. *swoons*

Also? Dawson is even more of an ass than I remembered.

On a totally unrelated note, GIP!

After much deliberation, I've decided not to sign up for [livejournal.com profile] het_bigbang. While the Tim/Kelly story totally ate my brain, and I may well write it, I don't have the time to devote to it to ensure getting it in before the deadline, and I don't believe in setting myself up for failure. What with [livejournal.com profile] ncis_bigbang and summer holidays and doing an online summer course, it's just not in the cards for me.

Have been watching Sony TV's Dawson's Creek reruns, now that they're up to season three and it's on at seven which is the prime "Give Nimoy her last bottle and put her to bed and then tidy up" hour. (Thank God for livepause!) Today's, which I made sure I watched, was "A Weekend in the Country." And let me just say, ten years and more later, that last scene still packs a punch. From a show that could be as subtle as a box of anvils raining down upon you, this was the episode where they removed all doubt and proved that Pacey was in love with Joey, and they did it without him having to say a word. This remains one of my all time best scenes in the history of any show ever, and in honour of that, I was going to give you a pic of the last scene but now I show you my new wallpaper, courtesy of someone far more talented than I will ever be!

Why Pacey Witter is the best boyfriend ever! link spam by [livejournal.com profile] empressearwigwith copious YouTube links that I am returning to later.

But yes. Pacey. Yum.

Just updated my [livejournal.com profile] au100 table with a Sara/Lockwood short... Living Proof

And someone ([livejournal.com profile] profshallowness, was it you?) was posting in the LJ about Dawson's Creek, and over the last two days, I've watched from season six (hey, I got it as a Christmas present, when it was on sale, I'm doubly covered!) the party episode and Castaways... and I'm fighting the urge to sob uncontrollably watch the finale... I'd forgotten how much damn chemistry Joshua Jackson and Katie Holmes have together.

It's amazing how all it takes it literally 5 seconds of seeing Joshua Jackson on the Tubridy Tonight (Irish chat) show to turn me into a drooling wreck... ah, Pacey. I just want to look at my Dawson's Creek DVDs now. He's a fine looking man. And apparently, he, like the rest of the acting world, is in Bobby. I can't remember if I knew that or not, but it's just another reason to make me want to go to see that film!

And while I've not had a chance to type up my thoughts on DoI yet, and not having ITV2 (or do we in my parents house? Must check!) I can't look at Defrosted but apparently, the presenter is making a career out of slighting Natalia? Guy needs to be taken out and shot... and she's just the person to do it too! You do not disrespect Natalia, and this is from someone who's not even a particular fan of the woman!

Though I can say that Kay annoys the bejesus out of me, I have rarely been more scared for anyone than I was for Pam O'Connor tonight, unless it was poor Kristina, and that Ulrika definitely got the nicest dress!

[livejournal.com profile] profshallowness and I were talking about the Dawson's Creek series finale in her LJ, and I wrote out a very long comment for it, which LJ is now not letting me post because it's too long. I therefore reproduce it here, in all it's geeky glory. And yes, I know, it's Dawson's Creek... since you're all going to mock me anyway, let me say it loudly and proudly... I bought the DVD in town on Saturday, watched it on Saturday night, and I feel no shame. I'll keep that for the day that I produce the Doug/Jack fic that's trying to fight its way through my head. But no, for I have too much other stuff to do.
