helsinkibabyFormer Skating star Nicole Bobek charged with significant role in drug ring - link has photo of Nicole in court on closed circuit tv, and reports that "She played a significant role in this operation," said Hudson County Prosecutor Edward DeFazio said of the probe that took down a methamphetamine ring and resulted in more than a dozen arrests, including Bobek. "She was actively involved in the upper echelon of this ring."
A shame, as I always liked her when she was skating... if she'd ever been able to get it together enough to actually train a program, her potential was limitless. And I just had the horrid thought that if you change "she" to "he" and "her" to "his", you could have been talking about Chris Bowman, may he rest in peace.
Between that and Steve McNair (memories of the 2000 Superbowl, the drive at the end, Kevin Dyson an arm's length short of the winning touchdown), I'm ready to turn off the internets and go down and look at Torchwood which is taping downstairs...
