Nice Rigsby/Van Pelt scene to begin, particularly since it was all starting so normal before it went to the horror of what they found when they got back to CBI - and man, was that ever well done. I thought for a moment they were going to be going back and forth throughout the timeline when we got the whole "24 hours earlier" tagline, but I liked how they just did it the once, echoing the "just breathe" line, and showing a nice little Bosco/Lisbon moment.
Jane knowing about Rigsby/Van Pelt... hee!
Cho, locking down the entire CBI... very hot. I'm just saying.
Jane finding Hicks's body was beautifully done and shot, and him figuring out how everything tied into Red John... amazing how RJ has manipulated the whole thing, and in particular with Rebecca... I mean, he didn't just turn her today or yesterday, and she's not been working with Bosco's team for a short space of time either. It took planning to have her in situ there.
So many great moments... I loved Bosco telling Lisbon that he loved her, and her acknowledgement of it. And the deathbed scene between Bosco and Jane was perfectly played... the "no time to be nice" line, just the two of them, grudging allies, putting everything on the line... don't arrest him, just kill him...that's the plan... which we always knew that it was but all the more so now.
What were Bosco's last words? I'm sure I did hear him say something about Lisbon... but it'll be interesting to see if we ever find that out.
Minelli's speech!!!! Oh Gregory Itzin, I heart you more than I can possibly say, and am reminded now of why you made season 5 of 24 rock so damn hard. That speech was brilliant, and his resignation at the end made perfect sense to me. (Sidebar, I suppose this is now a way of signifying to us that Minelli, despite some fan theories, is not Red John?) I will miss Minelli!
The bit at the end...the singing, I appear to be in the minority of fandom, I did not like it. (Though Cho did not sing?) I did, however, like Jane walking away to go back to the Red John file... he's not interested in mourning the dead, he's just after vengeance/justice.
Which everyone is going to be now... because this makes the Red John case personal for everyone, not just Jane.
Rigsby touching Van Pelt's shoulder to comfort her at the start of the episode was sweet. And I loved how Grace copped on to what had happened to the cameras and was firing orders at the security guy to get people down there and figure out what had happened.
Robin Tunney needs to nominate this episode for her Emmy. That is all.
Ah, CM goes Twilight... and how much do I love that Reid didn't know what Twilight was? Well, I can buy it a little more than A Clockwork Orange anyway.
Gavin Rossdale, not a bad actor. (Though I was cringing at the start, imagining what Himself would be saying if he heard that version of "Love Will Tear Us Apart"!)
Didn't see that the unsub was the BFF, until JJ was walking up the path and we found out the saliva was from a woman. Nor did I spot the manager was uber creepy. I am slipping.
Hotch passing JJ the bottle of tablets on the plane? Made me happy.
I'm sure I had more thoughts but they have gone.
